Skylight Leak Repair in Amado, AZ

Skylight Leak Repair in Amado, AZ

Skylight leak repair in Amado, AZ starts with finding where the water actually gets in. Most of the time it is not the glass. It is the step flashing along the sides, the head flashing at the top, or old sealant that has cracked and pulled away from the frame. Water runs down the roof deck, finds the gap, and shows up as a brown ring on the drywall a few inches away from the skylight.

Our crew at Amado, AZ Skylight Repair goes up on the roof and looks at the whole unit. We lift shingles at the upslope side, check for rusted or missing flashing pieces, and look for nail heads driven through the flashing, which is a common mistake from past roofers. Inside, we check the light shaft for condensation marks, because condensation and a true leak look the same from the living room.

A small skylight repair might be new counterflashing and a proper reseal. A bigger one means pulling shingles, replacing the flashing kit and laying ice and water membrane around the curb. If the frame itself is rotten, we will tell you a replacement makes more sense.

Call (833) 548-0266 and describe the stain. We will get a roofer out to find the leak and quote the skylight leak repair before any work starts.
